Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe in Christ's virgin birth and resurrection.
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:23
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
We believe that salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
What is a Christian?
A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 4:16). Christians
commit themselves to Jesus and trust him to guide their decisions,
actions and attitudes. A Christian knows that they will someday go to
heaven when they die. Are you going to heaven when you die?
Most people are unsure of what is involved in attaining eternal life
and going to heaven. Most would think that if they are good to others,
go to church, are baptized or confirmed, or obey the ten commandments,
that they will go to heaven. You must understand that eternal life is
not a reward for the good things you have done; it is a free gift.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
Mankind is by nature sinful and needs the righteousness of God.
If we are to approach God, we must do so on his terms - we must have new
lives in which our sins have been forgiven. God will not allow sin into
heaven. We need his salvation.
"There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10
What is Salvation?
The
Word salvation means "forgiveness of sins." When you ask God for
salvation, he will forgive all of your sins and give you a new start on
life! You will then become "saved" or "born again."
Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
Who Has Sinned?
We all have done things that displease God.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
Who Can Be Saved?
You can. God is giving you the free gift of salvation right now.
"That if thou shall confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved." Romans 10:9
Who Can Save You?
Jesus can. He was born, died and rose again to be your savior.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
Pray for your salvation. Pray to God today.
Pray this prayer:
Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner. I
believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to pay the debt of
my sins. Please forgive all my sins and come into my life. In Jesus'
name I pray. Amen.
