What is a Purity Ring?
Purity rings originated in the United States in the 1990s. Wearing a ring is a daily reminder of a promise you make to God, yourself and your future spouse that you will remain sexually pure until marriage. When receiving a purity ring you can take a vow of purity or sign a purity commitment card to practice abstinence until marriage. This can take place at a purity ceremony, true love waits ceremony, abstinence ceremony, purity ball, at home or a special planned place.What Should a Purity Ring Say?

What Hand and What Finger is a Purity Ring Worn?

What Age Do You Get A Purity Ring?
There is no perfect age to get a purity ring. We gave each of our children a purity ring at age thirteen but some don't learn about the idea until they are older. Many college students, people in their twenties and others that are divorced have made the commitment.Do I have to Wear a Ring?
No. You can make a commitment to stay pure until marriage and choose not wear a purity ring. You may decide to get a ring to put on a chain and wear around your neck.
